Helpful details: your device (e.g. iPhone 15, Pixel 8), the app version shown in the App Store or Google Play, what you did and what happened instead. Please do not attach a backup file unless asked – it contains the names of your fellow players.
We usually reply within a few working days. Requests concerning your data are answered within one month at the latest (Art. 12(3) GDPR).
Sign-in and account
Do I need an account?
No. The local ledger – players, rounds, net scores, stakes, payment status and balances – works fully without an account. You only need an account to find other registered players, connect and compare new net scores automatically.
How do I sign in?
Under Einstellungen → Konto (Settings → Account) with Apple (iPhone) or Google. If sign-in cannot be completed inside the app, use “Im Browser anmelden” (sign in in the browser) with the same Apple or Google account. On first sign-in Zocker creates a profile with a display name and a six-character player code; you can change the name.
I can’t sign in any more / lost access
Zocker has no password of its own. Your access is your Apple or Google account:
- Sign in with the same Apple or Google account as the first time. A different account creates a new, empty Zocker profile.
- Forgot the password or account locked? Resolve that with the provider: recover your Apple Account or recover your Google Account.
- If you used Apple’s “Hide My Email”, a relay address is stored in the account. That is normal and does not affect sign-in.
Signing in again does not restore a local ledger: rounds, stakes and payments exist only on the device where you entered them. Signing in only restores your profile, connections and the ability to compare new net scores.
Delete account and server data
In the app under Einstellungen → Konto → Konto löschen (Settings → Account → Delete account). Without the app, by e-mail. What exactly happens – and what does not – is on the Delete account page.
Local data, backup and restore
How do I back up my ledger?
Under Einstellungen → Datensicherung → Sicherung exportieren (Settings → Data backup → Export backup) Zocker creates a JSON file and opens your device’s share sheet. Save the file e.g. in Files, in your own cloud storage, or e-mail it to yourself. The file is unencrypted and contains names and results – treat it accordingly.
How do I restore a backup?
Under Einstellungen → Datensicherung → Sicherung wiederherstellen (Settings → Data backup → Restore backup) choose the file. Caution: the current state on the device is fully replaced by the backup. Unsaved changes since the export are lost. If in doubt, export the current state first.
Imported online links stay inactive until you are signed in with the same account and confirm them again. Imported rounds are not published online retroactively.
I want to start over
Delete players and rounds in the app or uninstall the app; that removes all local data. An account is unaffected – it holds no local ledger. If you also want to remove the account, follow the Delete account page. Backup files outside the app must be deleted separately.
New phone
Export a backup on the old device, transfer the file and restore it on the new device. Then sign in with the same account to confirm connections again. Without a backup we cannot restore your local ledger – it was never on our servers.
Connections and shared scores
What is shared?
Only your new net scores with the day of play, and only with players you are connected to, from the day of the connection. Never shared: stakes, payment status, manual corrections, names of your other players or older rounds.
How do I connect with someone?
Both must be signed in and have enabled Online-Freigabe (online sharing) under Einstellungen → Konto. Then search under Mitspieler verwalten → Online-Spieler suchen (Manage players → Search online players) by name or player code and link the profile to a player in your list. At most 10 searches per 30 seconds and 100 active connections per account.
I can’t find a player
The other person either has no account, switched off “In der Suche sichtbar” (visible in search), disabled online sharing, or one of you blocked the other. The easiest way is to exchange player codes directly.
A shared score is wrong
Everyone enters their own net score. Simply correct your value in the round; the correction is transmitted at the next sync. If a fellow player’s value is wrong, only they can change it – you can always enter a manual result in your own list. Zocker never overwrites manual entries automatically.
End a connection or block
On the player in your list: Verbindung trennen (end connection) stops sharing in both directions; Spieler blockieren (block player) additionally hides you from each other in search. Results already copied stay in each local ledger.
